A Completely New Native Login Experience

Logging into your cloud infrastructure should be fast, secure, and effortless. That's why we've completely rebuilt the login experience in the Webdock mobile app from the ground up.

Our new native authentication flow is designed specifically for iOS and Android, delivering a smoother experience while taking full advantage of each platform's built-in security features.

Faster, More Intuitive Login

The new login flow feels more responsive and natural, with native screens, improved navigation, and a streamlined authentication process. Whether you're signing in for the first time or returning to manage your infrastructure, getting into the app is now quicker than ever.

We've also refined the overall user experience, reducing unnecessary steps and making account access feel seamless across both platforms.

Built with Security at Its Core

Security has always been a top priority at Webdock, and our new native login experience reflects that.

Authentication tokens are securely stored using the iOS Keychain and Android Keystore, leveraging the security mechanisms built directly into each operating system. This helps protect your account while ensuring your login session remains both secure and convenient.

Behind the scenes, we've also improved session management and authentication handling, providing a more reliable and robust experience.

Latest updates in the app

The new login experience is part of a broader effort to make the entire Webdock app feel truly native.

Version 2.5.0 update notes:

• iOS home-screen widgets: four widgets:

  • a server status board with live status counts,

  • a small vitals widget showing CPU/RAM/disk for a server you pin,

  • a Lock Screen widget with running/total servers,

  • and a CPU history chart covering the last 12 hours.

• Live Activities: reboots and snapshot restores show live progress on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, so you don't have to keep the app open.

• Console / terminal improvements:

  • save your most-used commands: tap once to run

  • A redesigned key bar and toolbar with access to keyboard symbols

• Performance and stability improvements.

We also added the following in version 2.4.0:

• New AI assistant: rebuilt as a fast, fully native experience: saved conversations with history, suggested starter prompts, tappable quick-reply and follow-up buttons, and one tap to hand over to a human agent.

• Passkeys: passwordless sign-in with passkey management in Settings (add, rename, remove), plus an optional biometric app lock.

• Security setup guide: a one-time walkthrough after your first sign-in to turn on passkeys and app lock.

• Automatic updates: the app now keeps itself on the latest version.

• Fixes: real OS logos in the server list, GitHub sign-in errors, referral links, and light-mode readability.

By rebuilding core parts of the application using modern native technologies, we've improved responsiveness, reduced loading times, and created smoother transitions throughout the app. Combined with our redesigned AI Chat, notifications, server management, and dark mode support, the new login experience is another step toward making Webdock the easiest way to manage your infrastructure on the go.
