Ability to remove the default webdock.cloud URL/Alias
Although the default alias we hand out to our customers is tremendously useful, and you can always just set up a 301 redirect to your website doman if you are worried about SEO isses (or make sure the webserver just answers with a 404 on the aliasdomain) we realize this may be useful for some customers to be able to do.
This feature would need to warn users that if their main domain has some problem or stops resolving properly certain functionality such as phpmyadmin may become inaccessible.

Arni from Webdock: This is fantastic news Arni. Would this also include a button which would “redirect all aliases to main domain” on the dashboard? I had a CMS which only worked (properly anyway) on the domain the wizard was setup from, meaning for some reason it only worked on the non-www domain. If I went to the www. domain some links would break and images wouldn’t load so I needed all aliases to redirect to the main domain (which in my case was the non-www variant).

Andrew Muir: It's starting to look like we will rework our Server Identity screen and add the ability to do redirects on domains which will be written to the webserver config automatically, in addition to this overall "remove .cloud alias" button - we are thinking about implementation at the moment.

Tyler Dunn: Hi Tyler - we are actively working on getting this into production, but we are having problems getting features out the door these days as all our manpower is dedicated to getting our new DC up and running. We hope the situation improves soon and we can return to our release cadence.

I’d really like this, or a button in the same bit of the dashboard that was a “redirect all aliases to main domain” button. I had to ask support how to do this in NGNIX as I’m a bit of a luddite.

This ties in with the current feature of removing the webdock.cloud domain via Cloudflare. However, as we agreed on in the past already, that CF integration needs some work.
