Ability to manage multiple websites

Although we highly discourage using a VPS for shared hosting we are under the impression that this is a feature many users are missing from Webdock. Please cast your vote here and chime in if you have seen good examples on how to manage multiple websites out there in other control panels which can serve as inspiration to our team on how we would implement this.

Reintroduce High-Frequency CPUs

First, I must say I love Webdock, the additional tooling that is provided, the clear API, and also the transparency related to issues appearing and the speed at which issues are solved. Now, unfortunately, I heard the Ryzen product line is discontinued. I think the Ryzen offering made Webdock very competitive. High-frequency CPUs and a sustainable hosting provider are a great combination. Either having slow Xeons for an incredible price or having incredibly fast Ryzen for also an incredible price/value made Webdock stand out. The new Epyc offering is somewhat in between those two but with pricing very similar to the former Ryzen plans (about 7% cheaper). In my initial benchmarking, the Epyc servers unfortunately perform 30-50% slower than the Ryzen counterparts for WordPress/SQL workloads. The performance is also very close to Hetzner’s AMD offering now, which is offered for a much lower price and generally has better uptime in my experience. I hope Webdock will reintroduce high-frequency CPUs, such as the high-frequency Epyc counterparts of Ryzen or other Ryzen CPUs (e.g. the 7900 or 9900 provide a lot of speed against relatively advantageous power usage, compared to top-of-the-line 7950x/9950x). There are other sustainable providers out there who offer Ryzen hosting at similar price levels, but they are unfortunately not as catered to developers as Webdock. So I really would like Webdock to offer high-frequency plans again. Addendum: some benchmark data, benchmarked on Xeon 2c/4GB, Epyc 2c/4gb and Ryzen 2c/4gb, using the default WordPress installation WordPress Post Query Test Inserting, Querying, Deleting 10000 posts Ryzen: 20.9 seconds Epyc: 30.7 seconds Xeon: 116,7 seconds WordPress Benchmark Plugin - Test PHP, SQL, Disk and Network Performance Ryzen: 9.4 overall score (PHP, SQL, File & Network tests are all significantly faster) Epyc: 7.6 score Xeon: 7.4 score (SQL and PHP are slower than Epyc here, the rest is similar) WordPress Performance Tester - WordPress Benchmark Plugin Ryzen: 6.003 score (lower is better) Epyc: 9.278 score Xeon: 10.399 score h2load load tester - requests per second the server can handle Ryzen: 83.79 requests / second Epyc: 65.55 requests / second Xeon: 35.27 requests / second

Add a second disk to VM

Having the ability to add another disk to the VM that you can size, partition and control which filesystem you want (like zfs). This way you can have a smaller OS disk and a larger and more complex data disk for more dynamic storage needs.

Auto-deploy one or more ssh keys on provision

Add the ability to mark one or more SSH Public Keys as "auto deploy" which will then be automatically added to the default LAMP/LEMP stack admin user, or in the case of clean OS installs a default user is created with a random password set.

Enable the ability to run multiple instances of the Monitoring service in different data centers around the world. New Web Themes Request

Hey. Could you please consider adding a neutral gray dark theme to the website? The current light theme is quite bright for long sessions, especially at night, while the dark theme has very strong green/black contrast that can also become tiring on the eyes. Something closer to a softer charcoal/gray interface with more neutral colors and lower contrast would be much more comfortable for extended use. Thank you!

Although the default alias we hand out to our customers is tremendously useful, and you can always just set up a 301 redirect to your website doman if you are worried about SEO isses (or make sure the webserver just answers with a 404 on the aliasdomain) we realize this may be useful for some customers to be able to do. This feature would need to warn users that if their main domain has some problem or stops resolving properly certain functionality such as phpmyadmin may become inaccessible.

Our very own Datacenter in Denmark

We are building our own datacenter in Denmark which we hope will go online in Q2 2024 This new facility will enable us to provide a range of new products (new low-cost as well as premium products) as well as much improved networking infrastructure and many other good things. We look forward to opening shop here in Denmark which will then become our EU location moving forward, as we no longer wish to be in co-location with Hetzner in Finland as we are currently. This change will not impact any current customers in any significant way. You will be informed in detail as to what this means to you as a customer in our EU location once we get nearer to a completion date.

I think there should be an option to stop traffic or straight up shut down a server automatically if your traffic hits the plan limits instead of getting overage charges. The reason being is that some developers are fine with shutting down their servers instead of generating higher bills.

New much improved and redesigned Mobile App with IOS support

Our new mobile app will now support IOS as well as SSO sign ins instead of the cumbersome App Tokens we have currently The app is completely redesigned for simplicity and we hope to have full one-click SSH functionality working at launch as well.

Reset password function for Shell Users
