Add a second disk to VM

Having the ability to add another disk to the VM that you can size, partition and control which filesystem you want (like zfs).

This way you can have a smaller OS disk and a larger and more complex data disk for more dynamic storage needs.

    Hello. We are working on a new VPS concept, and if that materializes the way we want it we will be completely rid of any restrictions on storage sizing that we have currently, and at that time will be able to offer much larger disks and the potential for hotplugging block volumes as secondary disks like you describe there. There is still a way to go however, so please be patient…

      This sounds amazing! I love the current VPS customiser and I think the Storage add-on and limit it’s the only thing it’s lacking. I suggest that when making the block storage addon to add 2 options - €0.05 per Gb SSD & €0.01 per Gb HDD

        Hi Josh

        All good things take time, and this particular project has been delayed,primarily due to the explosion of flash storage pricing, which caused us to wait with certain infrastructure expansions in the short term. We are definitely doing this, but now I think a realistic timeline is more something like “sometime this year”. Sorry to be so vague, but we have a lot of things to sort out before this becomes a reality.
